Had my hair done by a nice young girl with blonde hair. I had shown her a picture of the style I wanted and asked to get as close to it as possible. Even though my hair looks ok, it is nothing like the picture, she was really scissor happy! Which I'm sick of experiencing in salons. I now have really short layers at the side of my hair which will take over a year to grow out again, I asked to keep it long at the front and was happy to go short at the back. So why she thought it was ok to do what she wanted and not what I wanted beats me! the fact she did not asked me once to see if I was happy with how much she was cutting off has really frustrated me. And I paid £65 for the privilege. Very disappointed in this service :(

What a dreadful experience. They gave me one price online and then approached me with a calculator when I was in the chair - it felt like being sold a timeshare! Horrific. I paid for a treatment that I'm fairly convinced I never received and the "stylist" tried to overcharge me at the end. I felt completely ripped off and it was a horrible experience. The cut is awful and she took barely any time over it. She put far to much bleach on my hair and it's ruined the condition. I regularly pay more for my hair to be done and am happy to do so, but Rush will not be getting my business in the future.

WORST EXPERIENCE EVER!!!! left the salon with bright orange hair when I asked for an ash blonde shade and the money piece I asked for was so chunky and big and not blended at all!!!!! was charged £140 for a flipping T section when on the website they state they charge that much for a full head so felt like I got ripped of there. Honestly wouldn’t have minded paying that £140 if I actually got the look I wanted but the fact that I have to now go to a different salon to get it fixed is appalling!!!!! WOULD DEFFO NOT RECOMMEND

went into rush with a specific vision of how I wanted my hair done. I had given lots of thought to it taken in consideration my hair type and past experiences. I had even bought a photograph. The consultation was very brief and the hairdresser did not seem that interested in how I wanted to have my hair done. After she had applied my hair colour she then asked me again what I wanted to have done for my cut. I said do you remember the photo I showed you she yes. I then showed her the photo a second time around to make sure she understood. I gave specifics about what I liked about the photo and how I wanted my hair to look. I then asked if she could do my hair like that. I was open to input from her around reasons why perhaps she might not be able to achieve the hair in the photo. Nothing. She proceeded to cut my hair asking me lots of questions if I wanted it cut straight I said I don’t know which is better. As I said I had showed her a photo of what I wanted. I am not a hairdresser and I do not know the terminology. (Hence the visual aid) She seemed reluctant to give me what I wanted. I should have left at that point or said not to worry about the hair cut but I resented having to pay the extra blow dry cost and then have to go else where for a haircut. In the end I left the salon with a hairstyle that resembles nothing like I wanted. It is pretty much everything that I wanted to stay away from. I can’t understand why the hairdresser didn’t tell me she either wasn’t qualified enough to give me the haircut I wanted or didn’t want to. This isn’t the first time I have had a bad experience at rush and I hate to complain and shy from confrontation. This is why I Was very specific in what I articulated. They seemed in a rush no pun intended. They can seem inexperienced and unable to shy from the same generic haircuts without taking into account your face shape, personality and personal preference. This is ok for a cheaper hairdresser but they claim to be a luxury hairdresser and their prices reflect that. I must say I am disappointed you are supposed to leave a hairdresser feeling better about yourself. I just felt a little violated to be honest as now my hair has been cut to short to correct and I will have to wait months before I can think about changing it even if I am brave enough to face the whole process again somewhere else.

Rush Reigate reviewI went here this week and Charlotte (with help from her manager) gave me one of the best haircuts I've ever had. I have short thick hair that is prone to being quite wild. I arrived armed with a photo of the restyle I wanted. At first I was concerned that my stylist was not sure if she had the ability to do it. After consulting with her manager they drew up a plan of action. The result is just what I wanted. I was made to feel listened to and consulted. I would much rather a stylist was honest if they felt that unsure of what was needed. I am delighted with the restyle and my hair looks just like the photo. I wasn't pushed in to buying extra services (I hate that about Rush) but just got exactly what I wanted - great haircut plus tips on how to style it myself. Well done Charlotte!

I went to Crystal Palace, "Rush" to treat myself!Admittedly the stylist was friendly! The wash took less than 3 mins and when I agreed to a head massage, that took less than a minute. With medium length hair, the stylist took off less than an inch, used no product, and was finished in less than 10 minutes.I felt rushed! The haircut looked nice for all of a 2 minutes. After I left I turned into a frizzy ball ......All for £70A rubbish cut, as well as a rubbish experience, I will not be returning.

I went to Rush Leicester yesterday to go and get my blonde that I always have wanted, Catlyn was so nice and calm, she guides you through each step, very professional and so friendly and bubbly, I will make this Rush my go to salon

I visited Rush in Enfield Town this morning for a cut, colour and blow dry. I’d booked earlier in the week online. Yesterday I received a call asking if I could come in 30 minutes earlier which I agreed to.On arrival today I was kept waiting to see my stylist despite them asking me to come in early. She then told me I wouldn’t be able to have a cut and blow dry as it hadn’t come up on their system, and that I should have called to check. I told her I didn’t realise this was required otherwise I would have telephoned and booked my appointment.I was in the salon a full 3 hours having a half head of highlights. I have very fine hair above my shoulder so not a huge task. The stylist was colouring 2 other clients simultaneously with myself. I was left for long periods waiting. As my stylist was so busy, the receptionist was asked to wash and dry my hair. She sprayed hair serum in my face (which she tried to sell me, along with other products, saying they would make my hair grow stronger and thicker? Really?!) The colour turned out nice though the experience was definitely not worth just under £150. She clearly had no idea what she was doing, it was embarrassing. My 9 year old daughter does it better. I was so disappointed I was trying not to cry when I saw my hair. It lay heavy and flat to my head, worse than before I’d arrived at the salon. I asked to speak with the manager who was openly hostile and abrupt. Her answer was they could offer me the cut and blow dry in the week for a further £60. I don’t have childcare for an evening and dread to think how long it would take anyway. I simply paid and walked out feeling very unhappy and let down. Customer service, minus zero. Will not be returning. Will find a local salon rather than a chain.

I had my hair done in Rush Maidenhead in August 2020 by Cheryl. It cost £285 and I haven’t been able to wear my hair down since. It’s completely ruined. It’s like a wire brush one day and candy floss the next.In all my years of life I have never had such awfully damaged hair.I think she forgot to put the olaplex or smart bond I paid for on as I can’t understand how it is so damaged. Please do not go here as it’s now December and it’s still as awful as it was in August.Avoid!!!!!

I have been given an appointment for my 3 year old son at 1.30pm for a haircut at Rush Ilford, I went there at 1.15pm the receptionist telling me it’s busy and to come back at 3pm, I agree to it as I was a regular there me and my son and I have tried to understand them. I came back at 3pm, receptionist telling me to wait another 5-10 min and one of the staff will start his haircut, after speaking to one of her staff and looking at me and my son weirdly, she came back and telling me it’s busy and they cannot do it. I was in awe asking her if she is joking and I really need to have my sons haircut as he was attending his first day at nursery and I wanted him to look nice. She went to ask the staff again and looking at me rudely she said no, I strongly believe she refused to cut my sons haircut due to me being Muslim as I find it very hard to understand she was ok to cut my sons hair before 5min and then when she saw me she refused. I had my hair done my Diane several times and my son too never have I had any unfortunate disgusting behaviour. When I have requested to speak to the manager she pretended to be the manager then she called someone else and that person for no reason wanted to call the security because I was truthful and was explaining that isn’t fair on me and my son waiting around for such long time and that person just because of how I look refuses to have my sons haircut done, reason she wanted me out is because she didn’t want her clients to hear me out about my experience, I’m sure if she was a fair manager, doing her job properly she would of taken me to a private room and try and solve it out and hear me out.She also made me a liar that I had no appointment which I had two, such an emotional disgusting experience. Avoid!!

Sad to say the worst haircut ever at the Dalston salon. Stylist refused to listen to my requests. People have said awful things about the cut which has made me feel dreadful. I was going to go back to ask for the stylist to sort it out, but then decided to go elsewhere. No confidence in the stylist, and why actively choose to repeat a bad experience.

This is a review of the Maidstone branch. They are absolutely the best. They sorted out a big hair mess and knots in my 6 yo daughter following holidays in the sea and sun. My daughter has autism so they were very patient with her, which I really appreciated. Great professionalism and expertise!
